An 1861 colonial-era law licensing and regulating horse-drawn stage-carriages used for hire, setting licensing requirements, fees, and fines for unlicensed operation, overloading, or mistreatment of the animals.

A 1943 wartime ordinance providing that whenever the government orders a temporary change to the official Standard Time offset from Greenwich Mean Time, all legal references to "Standard Time" are read as referring to that new offset.

A 1934 Act letting provincial governments declare "controlled areas" and fix minimum sugar-cane purchase prices to protect growers, with penalties for buying below the fixed price or from unlicensed agents.

A 1976 Act abolishing the tribal Sardari system, banning private jails, forced labour, tribute demands, and informal judicial or land powers exercised by Sardars, punishable by up to three years' imprisonment and a fine of up to ten thousand rupees.

A 1960 scarcity-era law giving a government Controller-General power to register tea dealers, fix prices and quantity limits, and control the movement and sale of tea.

A 1959 ordinance establishing the Pakistan Tea Board and Tea Development Committee to regulate tea cultivation, sale, and export, and imposing a cess on tea production to fund the industry's development.

An 1851 law authorising the government to levy and collect tolls on public roads and bridges it builds or maintains, with penalties for illegal toll collection.

An 1886 colonial-era law regulating the construction, licensing, and operation of tramways -- originally in Punjab and the former North-West Frontier Province -- covering toll collection, promoter/lessee duties, and offences for obstructing or misusing a tramway.

An 1878 law requiring anyone who finds hidden treasure worth over ten rupees to report it to the Collector, who investigates ownership claims and divides or awards the treasure between the finder and the landowner, with penalties for concealment.

A 1918 Act letting courts reopen and revise loan transactions where the interest charged was excessive and the deal was substantially unfair to the debtor.
