Dissolves the state-owned Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation, transferring its business, projects, shareholdings, contracts and employees to a successor private company (or its subsidiaries) with continuity protections for staff and pending legal cases.

This 2000 Ordinance gave the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) degree-awarding status and established its governance structure - Chancellor, Rector, Pro-Rector, and a Board of Governors chaired by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission.

A 2011 act reconstituting the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design in Lahore as a full degree-awarding institution, setting up its governing officers (Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Registrar) and academic bodies (Senate, Syndicate, Academic Council).

A 1980 ordinance dissolving the Pakistan Institute of International Affairs' governing Council and placing an Administrator, appointed by the Federal Government, in charge of its affairs.

Converts the state-owned Pakistan Insurance Corporation into Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited, transferring its assets, contracts, employees and shareholders' stakes to the new company while protecting employee pension terms and giving shareholders a cash-out option.

The 1956 act that originally created the Pakistan International Airlines Corporation to take over Orient Airways Limited and run the country's air-transport services — now repealed by Act XV of 2016 and kept here only for historical reference.

This 1973 Act establishes the Pakistan National Council of the Arts, a government-funded body governed by a Board chaired by the Federal Culture Minister, tasked with promoting the arts through academies, exhibitions, festivals, and cultural policy advice.

A 1970 ordinance requiring male citizens aged 18-20 with at least matriculation education to render one year of compulsory national service in the Armed Forces, followed by reserve liability until age 35, with penalties (up to three years' imprisonment or a Rs.15,000 fine) for non-compliance.

A 1965 law authorising the Pakistan Naval Academy to award Bachelor's degrees to cadet-entry officers (and, since 1972, to foreign officers) who complete its prescribed training courses.

Establishes the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) as the national body that licenses nuclear installations, protects against radiation, and sets the civil liability rules for nuclear damage.

The Pakistan Nursing Council Act, 1973 formerly established and governed the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council, which registered and regulated nurses, midwives, and lady health visitors — but it was repealed by Act No. XXXVII of 2026 (s. 53) effective 4 June 2026, so it is no longer in force.

A 1961 law that establishes the Pakistan Ordnance Factories Board, a six-member body appointed by the Federal Government to manage state-owned ordnance factories on commercial lines for defence needs and civilian surplus capacity.

A 1920 law (which its own footnotes say was later repealed in 1981) that originally established the Pakistan Red Crescent Society, its Managing Body, Branch Committees, and how its funds could be used for war relief and health/welfare purposes.

A 1973 Act establishing the Pakistan Science Foundation, a government-funded body that finances scientific research, education and awards under a Board of Trustees.

This Act creates the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority, absorbing the former Central Testing Laboratories and Pakistan Standards Institution, to set national product standards, issue certification marks, and enforce quality control through Inspectors and penalties for misuse of its marks.

A 1968 Ordinance creating the Pakistan Tobacco Board to regulate tobacco cultivation, pricing, export licensing and a cess-funded development programme for the industry, with penalties including up to three years' imprisonment for violations.

A 1973 law establishing the Port Qasim Authority to plan, develop, and manage Port Qasim near Karachi, giving it powers over tolls, land acquisition, and environmental compliance for the port.

Sets the rules for Post Office National Savings Certificates, restricting transfers without official consent, governing how proceeds are paid out after a holder's death, and allowing minors to hold certificates with payment made to a nominated parent or guardian.

Establishes the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA), the federal body that regulates and makes rules for how government agencies buy goods, services, and works, and now also dispose of public assets.

This 1973 act established and reorganised what became Quaid-e-Azam University (originally University of Islamabad), setting out its corporate status, governing officers and authorities, degree-granting powers, and college affiliation procedures.

This 2013 Act establishes the South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) University at Islamabad as a body corporate, setting out its governing officers (Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Registrar), its Board of Governors and Academic Council, its fund and accounts, and its degree-granting powers.

A 1997 law, amended in 2024, that fixes the maximum number of Supreme Court of Pakistan judges (excluding the Chief Justice) at thirty-three, as required by Article 176 of the Constitution.

A 1983 Ordinance transferring the field-level delivery of Pakistan's Population Welfare (family planning) Programme from the Federal Government to the Provincial Governments, while national policy and coordination stayed federal under Section 6.

A 1985 ordinance that established the Women's University at Islamabad as a body corporate, setting out its governing officers, authorities, degree-granting powers, and college affiliation and discipline procedures.
